MIVV NEWS

Racing

In the MotoGP class, the portuguese Oliveira wins the MotoGP race on KTM while the australian Gardner wins again in Moto2. In Moto3 class, the end of the race is very animated and, at the end, the spanish Garcia, on Gasgas, cut the finish line as first.

Yuki Kunii, on the official Honda equiped with Mivv exhaust, took advantage of this crazy end of the race to finish in 12th position, while Izdihar, who was fighting for the points, ended up 17th. A lot of problems for Matsuyama, who finished 18th.

Yuki Kunii #92 – 12

“This weekend, we’ve had a good performance; after the injury, I feel almost perfect. But I cannot be happy because I made a big mistake at the start, losing many positions. After I had a pace and tried to catch the front group, it wasn’t possible. After the injury, I have finished P12, my best position ever. Ok, the result is good, but I made so many mistakes. I have ended too far from the top group. For the Germany race, I feel very motivated, and I’ll try not to repeat this disastrous start.”

Andi Farid Izdihar #19: P17

“After starting quite well the weekend, from FP2 to Qualifying, I lost the way to improve. I started not good about the race, but the first laps, I stayed with my group, after losing the front group, fighting for points. The positive things are that from the middle of the race, our pace was the same that the front group. I’ve been thinking during the race what to do in the last lap, where the strategy is important to avoid slipstreams. But I made a mistake, losing any option and finishing P17. That is not the best, but we’ve learned many things for the next race in Sachsenring, a new circuit for me.”

Takuma Matsuyama #32 – 18

“Today I’ve had many problems during the race, I hadn’t felt with the bike, and I cannot perform on my 100 per cent. However, next weekend I have a new chance, here in Catalunya circuit, on the Junior World Championship.”

Hiroshi Aoyama – Team Manager

“Our three riders tried to do his best on the race, but they couldn’t perform as they did on qualifying. We need to check why. It was a quite difficult weekend, and we need to reanalyze why this happened to improve it for the next races. I want to thank our staff for the effort to do the best bike possible. I’m sure we will be strong on the next race.”
