MIVV ACTUALITÉS

Racing

In MotoGP, Vinales and Yamaha are the firsts.
In Moto2, Lowes imposes his own pace until the end.
In Moto3, KTM and Masia are the winners but the bike of the Honda Asia Team is the third Honda as best speed; for sure a good technical result for Honda and Mivv. But the short experience of the riders with the slipstream hasn’t helped them to face the qualifying practice and the race. Not so bad anyway. Yuki Kunii is 16, very closed to scoring his first point. The Japanese rider finished 0,066s to the 15th position.
Andi Farid Izdihar has been affected by another rider’s crash, which made him lose contact with the group, and he had to do the whole race alone.
The next week there will be the second race in Qatar.

Yuki Kunii #92: P24

“It has been a tough race, with many crashes and a complicated condition of the track that didn’t allow me to ride on my pace. On the first laps, I’ve lost contact with the top group, I kept going, but my pace wasn’t enough. Finally, I was fighting and trying to do my best until the finish, but I cannot get points, and I should learn from this mistake.”

Andi Farid Izdihar #19: P26

“My start was not bad, maintaining my position in the group. I felt I could do it even better, but someone crashed in front of me, and I needed to go wide, losing contact with the group. I felt I could do it even better, but someone crashed in front of me, and I needed to go wide, losing contact with the group. I tried to recover, but it is difficult to have a good pace riding alone on this track. Then I decided to do my best to finish the race. It’s the first experience for me, and now I’m much more for round two here in Qatar.”

Hiroshi Aoyama – Team Manager

“Not an easy race for both riders. We were expecting better final positions. The weather conditions changed a lot, and they struggled by this, been a stressful race for them. Both finished the race, and now we have a lot of information to analyze. We have to work for the new race next weekend again here in Qatar. Next week should be the moment to show the real potential they have.”
